By Sashco. An extremely effective, attractive semi-transparent stain that is followed by a weather repellent topcoat, Cascade. Capture and Cascade work together. Both are freeze-thaw stable in their containers through at least 5 freeze-thaw cycles (freezing in the container, rethawing, then freezing again, etc.) Modest sheen gives “depth” to the appearance of logs (when used in conjunction with the Cascade clear topcoat). It is highly elastic and its flexibility permits the bridging of small cracks in the surface of the wood and provides an elastic shield for the underlying wood. Two heavy coats are now recommended, especially for Almond Bark, Bronze Pine, Natural, Wheat, and other light colors. Capture also works well by itself as a one coat interior stain or can be top-coated with Symphony. Capture and Cascade are compatible with other Sashco products like PeneTreat, Conceal, Log Builder, and Log Jam.

Cascade
A heavy coat of Cascade must be applied over Capture on the exterior. This clear, protective topcoat is heavily loaded with biocides and UV inhibitors to help prevent mildew and block damaging ultraviolet light. Adds "depth" and a long-lasting satin sheen to Capture log stain. Should not be used alone on bare wood. Lab and field tests have proven the Capture System (Capture log stain plus Cascade clear topcoat) to have superb resistance to chalking, fading, cracking, peeling, and loss of overall appearance. Once Capture has dried, apply Cascade. After applying Cascade, inspect the finish twice a year and touch up areas that have become dull with a pump sprayer as needed.

High Sierra Log Stain logoHigh Sierra Log Stain by Sashco. Its unique blend of water and acrylic-modified alkyd resins not only provides a very easy stain to apply, but the cured coating is both stunningly beautiful and durable. High Sierra Log Stain penetrates properly prepared wood and is extremely resistant to UV degradation, moisture, and oxidation. The high quality transoxide pigments enhance the natural beauty of wood grain while imparting a mellow sheen to the logs. High Sierra is compatible with PeneTreat, Log Builder caulking, and Log Jam chinking. When used for an interior finish, it may be top coated with 1 to 2 coats of Symphony.

lifetimeLifeTime A low maintenance finish that gives a silver patina color. Pigment obtained from your local hardware store may be added to give some color. (When using pigment, more maintenance will be required.) LifeTime goes on in one easy application by brush, roller, or spray. (It must be completely dissolved in warm water before spraying.) Initial color ranges from gray to light brown or olive brown, depending on the type of wood, but matures to a silver patina. LifeTime is for all outdoor wood. LifeTime is nontoxic, environmentally friendly, and made from naturally occurring plants and minerals. LifeTime comes in a powdered form making storage and shipping easy.
