We’re grateful that for nearly four decades we have been connecting contractors and homeowners to products that help them build, restore, and maintain their beautifully crafted structures. Gary and Kathleen Schroeder founded Schroeder Log Home Supply, Inc. in April of 1986. At that time Gary was a handcrafted log builder and a restoration contractor, and found that specialty log products were difficult to source. As the supply business grew, Gary transitioned out of building and restoration and focused fully on the new endeavor. Gary passed away in 2015, but the homes, the cabins, and the business he built continue to live on. With a degree in forestry, his love for the woods and time in nature has also carried on. Gary has grandchildren he never got to meet, and yet a decade after his passing they are spending nights within the log walls he scribed and under the roof he erected.
There are so many log cabins that are stacked with family history and inscribed with lasting memories; we hope there are many more to come. We are here to furnish the legacy of log and wood structures, and to nurture the love of living in nature. That’s the legacy Gary began, that’s the legacy we intend to carry on. Since 1986, Schroeder Log Home Supply, Inc. has been the “Ask Us!” resource providing expert maintenance and application information; offering quality products including backer rod, caulking, chinking, log home finishes, fasteners, sealant tapes, tools, wood treatments, and restoration products for log homes, youth camps, resorts, historic wooden structures, and wood sided buildings. We are closed on U.S. Holidays and Sundays (except by appointment), also Good Friday and Easter Saturday, the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and the day after Christmas, and New Year's Eve.
